YA KILL ME! Nana Schewitz, a “96-year-old” Jewish Drag Queen from Berlin, returns to her South Floridian roots in search of retirement paradise, only to discover that the Florida retirement scene has ways to go for its LGBTQ+ seniors. Embarking upon a kaleidoscopic road trip confronting loss and loneliness, Nana encounters a vibrant community of queer elders redefining aging on their own terms. Featuring conversational interviews and verite-style scenes with an ensemble of subjects, Nana forms genuine connections with residents from all over the Sunshine State to help guide her in her quest to find a home. Threaded together with Brechtian techniques and lyrical vignettes, this film is&nbsp; one flamin’ queer-kaleidoscope of the geriatric capital of America. <img width="2246" height="3387" width_o="2246" height_o="3387" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/f97557bc6268cf56f4f9fc7fff000557ae6946abb84c34524262bbceaf17d699/37890021.JPG" data-mid="200380745" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/f97557bc6268cf56f4f9fc7fff000557ae6946abb84c34524262bbceaf17d699/37890021.JPG" /> <img width="3387" height="2246" width_o="3387" height_o="2246" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/0e3789e30f9499ac72a0403c6085d26125ad5e88e03bb3a535d530c0f198302d/37930018.JPG" data-mid="200380741" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/0e3789e30f9499ac72a0403c6085d26125ad5e88e03bb3a535d530c0f198302d/37930018.JPG" /> <img width="3387" height="2246" width_o="3387" height_o="2246" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/dcf3f39b0819f301c54ca95df56d158926e6973966ea8db5d50c36831fe13dca/37900013.JPG" data-mid="200380872" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/dcf3f39b0819f301c54ca95df56d158926e6973966ea8db5d50c36831fe13dca/37900013.JPG" /> <img width="2688" height="2211" width_o="2688" height_o="2211" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/d4ebb1f0eb4f06ef46df09901d05f187bf807963478f3b2aa5317160af9f89cf/37890026-copy.JPG" data-mid="200380744" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/d4ebb1f0eb4f06ef46df09901d05f187bf807963478f3b2aa5317160af9f89cf/37890026-copy.JPG" /> <img width="3387" height="2246" width_o="3387" height_o="2246" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/78d65efc43db06ff9605af4c194ca1b3cabbce8a7ca9192a58c35e19131aed9d/37940006.JPG" data-mid="200380742" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/78d65efc43db06ff9605af4c194ca1b3cabbce8a7ca9192a58c35e19131aed9d/37940006.JPG" /> <img width="3387" height="2246" width_o="3387" height_o="2246" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/10647cb7578e815f6e1f4284238d81a176204d2b0f9e1bf1e3164a6617ca7b91/37930020.JPG" data-mid="200380740" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/10647cb7578e815f6e1f4284238d81a176204d2b0f9e1bf1e3164a6617ca7b91/37930020.JPG" /> Below is a trailer from the theatrical version of “Florida! Jews! Jews! is a Berlin-based minori-tease cabaret that was started in 2018 by Jewish-American artists Lolita Va Voom and Nana Schewitz. In their quest to “re-Jew” Germany, these two cabaret artists book shows featuring exclusively Jewish and minority artists. The show celebrates Jewish holidays and traditions in new and old ways while informing non-Jewish audience members about fun and unique aspects of the Jewish experience. Featuring drag, burlesque, stand up comedy, magic, and music, this multi-genre and intersectional cabaret celebrates the modern Jewish experience by integrating and relating it to the struggles and triumphs of other marginalized groups. By using humor, protest, and subversive art, Jews! Jews! Jews! attempts to showcase the art that is created by Jews and other minorities in the present, and not as a thing of the past. Jews! Jews! Jews! has been awarded grants by the Stiftung Zuruckgeben and the Kulturfonds Europa. The show has also been invited to headline the Frankfurt Jewish Culture Weeks, and made guest appearances at the LABA Berlin Culture Incubator and Festivalt Krakow. trailer edited by Nana Schewitz video footage by Tomi Paasenon&nbsp; <img width="2000" height="1333" width_o="2000" height_o="1333" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/ca16a0e00d137943d53a7d61efebbb759be22ea30bbb35944198b702959bf48d/jewsjewsjews_chanukahspecial_byCerenSaner_77.jpg" data-mid="163806456" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/ca16a0e00d137943d53a7d61efebbb759be22ea30bbb35944198b702959bf48d/jewsjewsjews_chanukahspecial_byCerenSaner_77.jpg" /> <img width="2000" height="1333" width_o="2000" height_o="1333" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/11e9bd6ccf8570fc35d4e3e4df8234994e1641c2e6a021fec11c5f2d73dc7bcc/jewsjewsjews_chanukahspecial_byCerenSaner_39.jpg" data-mid="163806344" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/11e9bd6ccf8570fc35d4e3e4df8234994e1641c2e6a021fec11c5f2d73dc7bcc/jewsjewsjews_chanukahspecial_byCerenSaner_39.jpg" /><img width="2048" height="1366" width_o="2048" height_o="1366" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/6a743aea48f4ea4861a803c86dff999abcdc1995c7cb59f6b242ac5d153ebcb7/WhatsApp-Image-2023-01-06-at-13.58.03.jpeg" data-mid="163806359" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/6a743aea48f4ea4861a803c86dff999abcdc1995c7cb59f6b242ac5d153ebcb7/WhatsApp-Image-2023-01-06-at-13.58.03.jpeg" /><img width="2000" height="1333" width_o="2000" height_o="1333" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/0e4a2ed0878fe6c549efb04bf4ca82a894d7339869cbf274940da40f8f8b9290/jewsjewsjews_chanukahspecial_byCerenSaner_17.jpg" data-mid="163806334" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/0e4a2ed0878fe6c549efb04bf4ca82a894d7339869cbf274940da40f8f8b9290/jewsjewsjews_chanukahspecial_byCerenSaner_17.jpg" /><img width="2048" height="1365" width_o="2048" height_o="1365" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/975fcf31b7ab1e41d3bc4625d20e76bf503a9d13c94baeadc7811386fded6e41/82587246_528580486295_6208810233540640768_o.jpg" data-mid="163806327" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/975fcf31b7ab1e41d3bc4625d20e76bf503a9d13c94baeadc7811386fded6e41/82587246_528580486295_6208810233540640768_o.jpg" /> Photos by Daniel Paikov and Ceren Saner
